Jung-Chih Chiao is a electrical engineering professor at the University of Texas in Arlington. Jung-Chih has invented a micro windmill that can power electrical devices. He claims that since they are so small that thousands can fit in your phone case comfortably. This micro windmills are so small that at their widest point they are 1.8 millimeters. Twenty micro windmills can fit on 2 pieces of rice. This windmill is made up of nickel alloy, so they can take strong gusts of wind and not break. They can produce the windmill very cheaply, so they can be used commercially viable. Chiao and another scientist are brainstorming with Taiwanese manufacturer WinMems Technologies Co., about getting the micro windmills out inn the market.
